Talbot & Associates has a team of dedicated bookkeepers eager to help our clients improve their files. We work with you (and your accountant) to improve the quality of your data.

The quality of your data is important to the users of the data. Some common examples of users are accountants, owners, shareholders, investors, governing agencies, grant providers, etc. Each user is seeking specific information, and we help you determine the needs and purpose of the service to meet those needs.

We offer a range of services ready to be customized to your needs. Our very first step is to collect preliminary information in what we call an initial meeting. The purpose of the initial meeting is to determine your needs and start creating a plan to fulfill those needs.

Call us to book an initial meeting or complete our initial questionnaire and submit to us via email. Fees will be quoted once we’ve worked out a plan of action.

Business Transactions are recorded

Business transactions can be recorded in a bookkeeping software or compiled in excel sheet, the goal is to have those totals ready to make your required filings (ex: GST, PST, Taxes) or reporting needs. Talbot & Associates bookkeeping team can help you and your bookkeeper with this stage. We can also be your bookkeeper.
Currently our software of choice is QuickBooks Online and Desktop, however we have dabbled in other software.

Recorded transactions are reviewed and reconciled

It is important to review your work.
We recommend to, at least, ensure reconcilable accounts are reconciled and review your General Ledger to ensure information is accurately recorded.

Financial information is provided to users

We strongly encourage that regular reporting be viewed by owners and have a recommendation for standard reporting.
The users of this information may have different demands and needs, we can help navigate those needs and find solutions to producing the information in an acceptable format. Users of financial information include owners, shareholders, investors, accountants, bankers, governing agencies, grant providers, etc.

Partner / Bookkeeping Manager

Patrick brings a unique blend of skills to the firm, from Red Seal mechanic to retired Master Corporal in the Canadian Army to finally becoming a CPA. Known for his problem-solving expertise and unstoppable drive, he’s a key contributor to our tax and business consulting team. Outside of work, Patrick enjoys building and rebuilding his ‘37 Chevy ½ ton, combining precision and passion.

As our Chief Operations Officer and a true board game strategist, Natalie thrives on managing various projects and making sure T&A’s magic happens. She enjoys challenging the norm and pushing our team and clients to think through their processes and procedures to extract the issues, which inevitably leads to solutions. Outside of the office, she’s a laid-back mom who loves the company of her children and husband, and yes, she challenges the norm with them too!

Ayvah is a detail-focused Bookkeeper who blends structure with creativity. From reconciling accounts to preparing reports, she keeps financial records accurate and up to date. Outside of work, she explores her many hobbies—crocheting, baking, puzzling, and podcasting—often with dogs and road trips to the lake, adding inspiration to the mix.

As a social butterfly who loves helping people, Chelsey shines some light on everybody’s day. While currently a Director of First Impressions, she is completing her diploma in accounting, payroll and bookkeeping at Robertson College. When Chelsey is not assembling tax returns and making sure everything is organized and sorted, she enjoys researching holistic nutrition and herbal mixtures or discovering hiking trails.

Calm and supportive, Ellen is the kind of person who might like to stay in the background but she loves to help others in any way she can. That’s why her favorite part of being a bookkeeper is doing data entries and knowing that she takes the worries off of our clients’ shoulders. When Ellen isn’t working, she loves doing scrapbooks, playing board games, doing puzzles, and listening to music and singing along even if it’s a bit off tune!

Morgan may be short, but she has a huge heart. After graduating from Red River College in 2019 from Business Administration with a Marketing major, her first two jobs were at a pharmacy and a Clinic. She then decided to go a step further to take care of your health and wealth making sure you don’t pay more tax than you should. Outside of the office, you can find Morgan supporting Breast Cancer and Ovarian Cancer Awareness or travelling and exploring new things to create memories.

Tyler Williment

Dedicated to whatever he puts his mind to, Tyler is a self-starter who begins each 7 am morning with toast and Nutella. While he enjoys watching a great deal of sports, his personal favorite being hockey, he does believe soccer is ‘criminally underrated’ and particularly enjoys the lack of commercials and the great fan culture around the sport. Between attending the University of Manitoba and previous summer retail jobs, he focused his professional studies in Economics. His personal studies turned toward teaching himself Japanese and his biggest regret is not speaking the language nearly enough. He cites the process of learning like ‘reading a book on how to build a log cabin from the ground up before ever picking up a hammer’. In his free time, he enjoys watching YouTube and playing video games on PC and Nintendo. A fan of the Mega Man Battle Network games on GBA, he enjoys all sorts of games depending on his mood. One day he wants to go on vacation to another country that doesn’t primarily speak English, with his top pick being a vacation to Japan. He most admires his mom for being one of the hardest working people he knows.
