After graduating from the University of Paris X (France) with her Master’s in Criminal Law and working as a jurist for fifteen years, she moved to Canada in 2017. Passionate about not only learning about the world around him but also teaching others, he lived and taught in rural Niigata Prefecture, Japan for fourteen years. When Avi isn’t intercepting a flying computer headed for the window, you can find him making a name for himself on the volleyball court or baseball field. Avi’s approach to life revolves around gratitude. He is thankful for each new day and the opportunity to help others.

Brittany graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree then continued study to obtain her CGA/CPA designation. She is a well-trusted accountant who enjoys providing sound professional advice pertaining to business and tax needs. Her passions include spending time with friends and family, enjoying the outdoors on daily walks, doing yoga, and knitting (which she knows is nerdy and doesn’t care that you think so). Brittany notes that if she had the chance to hang out with anyone in the world it would be Beyoncé for reasons she states, “should be obvious”.
Before coming to Talbot & Associates, Chao previously worked at a law firm and an educational institution performing accounting duties and business analysis. Chao is a CPA candidate holding a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He’s passionate about accounting and finance and plays badminton in his spare time. His dream is to become a chartered professional accountant. Chao admires entrepreneurs following their passions and hopes to assist businesses with his knowledge and experience.

What does Accounting excellence, vinyl records and boxing have in common? Chris Scott (known affectionately as “Scotty”). Chris graduated from the Laurentian University with an Honors Degree in Commerce and the CPA Western School of Business with his CPA designation. He is a hard-working and valuable member of the firm, bringing both knowledge and expertise to his role in Assurance, corporate tax and personal tax preparation. Scotty gives back to the youth community through coaching amateur boxing and developing non-traditional programming to assist in the overall growth of participants. Inspirational people for Scotty include, Richard Branson for his ways of developing non-traditional yet successful businesses, Nelson Mandela and Mohammed Ali for their ability to believe in what they thought right and never waver, the local small business owner for their courage and grit, and on the funnier side Mr. Wyle E. Coyote (although Chris feels Wyle E. needs to change his aspirations).

If her heart were a mountain, it would be the biggest one you could climb. Christy is known for her genuine love of animals, people and a good challenge. She graduated from Red River College in 2012 with a Business Administration Diploma majoring in Accounting. Christy is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Management program at Athabasca University and following, has plans to obtain her CPA designation. She is a proud dog mom (but we can’t forget about her two cats) and an avid optimist. Christy enjoys gardening, fishing, belly laughs with friends and is always up for a spur of the moment road trip. She has been a devoted volunteer with Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue and Relay for Life for CancerCare and dreams of vacationing in Australia where some of her family reside.

With her tiny home and chickens, Claire might profess to live a simple life, but she has some deep philosophies about making a difference in the world. She most admires people who go that extra mile to do something good in the world- and with her passion for baking, she’s living her own mantra. Her secret talent is being able to say the alphabet backward very quickly! After attending CUSB for nursing and taking a major in French and a minor in psychology, she came to join the Talbot and Associates Team. She has 16 years of professional baking experience at her disposal and isn’t afraid to use it! A few of Claire’s life dreams are to continue expanding their free-range flock of chickens and to one day have her own commercial kitchen to bake her heart out in.
Whether personally or professionally, Connor is always looking for new experiences or new things to learn. Every day he wakes up, he wants to learn something new and try something different; whether it’s learning more at work, a new skill, or trying out a new hobby. After graduating May 2021 from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Marketing with Summa Cum Laude honors and living in the US for 4 years while he studied, he already has his sights set on his next goal: his CPA designation. His professional dream is to use his CPA to help local businesses thrive. Anything that keeps him moving and active is how he loves to spend his free time. Whether it’s hockey (big Jets fan), golfing, hiking, or camping, he believes in a good work/life balance that allows him to create adventures and memories with friends and family. While he’s checked sky diving and completing the Mantario Trail off his bucket list, he will never get enough of spending quality time with his loved ones and credits his family with providing him with the opportunities to create his own path in life while teaching important lessons along the way.

First things first she’s the realest. Smart, friendly, and modest, Cree believes the most rewarding things in life are the things you work for. An avid gym-goer, she also enjoys a good TV drama and many different board games. Her family’s favorite is a competitive game of Carcassonne, but she also meets regularly with another boardgame enthusiast friend to try new games. Currently hard at work with her B. Comm, she aims to pursue her CPA next and finally finish BOTW. When Cree isn’t hard at work or studying, you can find her trying new gluten-free comfort food recipes, camping, hiking, and spending quality time with her family and high energy sled dog. The person she most admires in this world is her daughter, who she adorably describes as “so little but so strong, like a bug”.
Daniel is a strategically minded, minimalistic and charismatic accountant here in our St. Norbert office. He has a fascination with farming that came from his beekeeping business which he successfully ran for three years prior to Talbot & Associates. He was able to use and develop his accounting, tax and bookkeeping skills, bringing all four of his passions to Talbot & Associates and working with like minded individuals who hold the same belief about farming, accounting and taxes as he does. Daniel’s personal hobbies include playing disc golf, reading fantasy novels spending time with his sister.

If the most complex tax problem in the world was a Rubik’s cube, Daniel is who you’d call to figure it out. A driving force behind much of the firm’s success, he’s been an integral part of Team Talbot for over 10 years. Dan received his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Manitoba in 2010 and Canadian and U.S. Accounting designations thereafter. He brings a broad range of experience in tax, accounting and business development, having worked with many different industries in Canada and the U.S. over the years. Regular thrills for Daniel include helping business owners solve tough issues, save thousands of dollars in taxes or come up with a winning succession plan. Daniel strongly believes in healthy work/life balance. When he’s not busy establishing himself as a master of the tax universe, you can find him laughing in the face of defeat on softball, hockey, football, volleyball and soccer teams or enjoying life with his beautiful wife, friends and family in La Broquerie, MB. Generous with genius and witty retorts, coworkers and clients appreciate Daniel for his result-orientated attitude and genuine care in helping others succeed.
As a singer, Diana sees bookkeeping in a very unique way where perfect reconciliation of accounts sounds like a melody. When she is not working, you can find Diana moving people’s emotions with her voice.

Calm and supportive, Ellen is the kind of person who might like to stay in the background but she loves to help others in any way she can. That’s why her favorite part of being a bookkeeper is doing data entries and knowing that she takes the worries off of our clients’ shoulders. When Ellen isn’t working, she loves doing scrapbooks, playing board games, doing puzzles, and listening to music and singing along even if it’s a bit off tune!

Everything in life Evan chooses to do, he does to the fullest! A firm believer in continuous self-growth, he thrives on exploring, traveling, and experiencing different cultures around the world. When he was sixteen, he moved to Spain to play soccer, living out his dream for two years and starting the foundation of what shaped him into who he is today. As an avid Jets fan, he’s not all work and no play either, as he believes a good work-life balance is key. Before graduating from the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba in 2019 with his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), he took a keen interest in investing at his job at RBC. For years, he was involved in ALS fundraisers, donations, and event organizations, a charity near and dear to his heart. His enthusiasm for numbers and helping people took off from there and after joining the T&A team, he earned his CPA designation in 2023. Evan’s personal travel goal is to visit each continent and, with twenty-three countries already crossed off his list, he’s well on his way! Some of the memories he holds most dear are the trip where he climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and proposing to his fiancée in Paris.
Gerald is a man of few words, but when he uses them, they’re either filled with humour or determination. After graduating from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor in Administration degree in 2015, T&A was the lucky company to scoop Gerald up before the others. Gerald has plans to obtain his CPA designation – we expect not long after that he’ll be running the firm. Outside the office you can find Gerald with a permanent smile while in family mode – especially wrestling with his son (usually over the TV remote) or helping his little girl paint her nails (he admits he would let his daughter paint his finger nails once she gets more skilled). Gerald enjoys writing, working with numbers and has tremendous respect for people who go to the extremes to stand up for the greater good in life.

People are instantly drawn to Ginette because of her warm, welcoming personality, then find themselves making excuses to hang out with her because of her infectious laugh or because she always believes the best about you. It’s not surprising that this rock star was once in the Navy reserves – because there’s not a task or situation that could possibly throw this firecracker off her game. Off hours, be it packing a picnic and taking off to the beach or hiking some far-off trail in Manitoba – excursions and family are what make her world spin. When asked about a dream Ginette has for her life she responded with a whimsical grin, “to see my kids succeed at whatever it is they want…yeah…that”.
For resident chocolate addict Haley, making a difference in someone’s life is what gets her up in the morning. With an outlook on life as sweet as her baking, she is always there to lend a helping hand or just to listen when someone needs to vent. After graduating from the Assiniboine Community College with an Agribusiness Diploma in 2013, she went on to obtain her Certificate in Municipal Administration from the University of Manitoba in 2017. She works closely with the St. Lazare Daycare Committee and multiple other organizations in pursuit of their joint project to get a licensed daycare in “Ecole Saint-Lazare”. When she’s not boosting her team to their goals or rallying support for her community, Haley can be found basking in the moment with the people she admires most in life: her family! A big believer in remaining in the present, she enjoys playing hockey and skating as well as bike rides and trail walks with her husband and son.
Living by the uplifting mantra that each day is another day to be alive and gracious, Irving believes there are always new things to be explored, learned, observed, family to love and be loved, friends to care for, and people to lend a helping hand. Whether it’s his family at home, his friends on a football field, or his T&A colleague at the office, he always strives to ensure his relationships are an enduring source of happiness. Originally from Ghana, Africa, he graduated from Brandon University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. His personal goal is to be happy in his career while always learning and challenging himself. A big supporter of Manchester United, you can find him playing soccer in his free time, as well as working out and hiking. He most admires his mum in life, citing her as his backbone, biggest support, and number one fan. Much like his favorite comic character Batman, he’s a night owl by nature.
Meet the world’s first adventurous bookkeeper (who slays numbers and wins hearts as she goes). After graduating from Red River College with an Administration Assistant certificate, Isabella became a licensed life agent in the financial industry. Her passions include experiencing wonder through nature and finding ways to positively impact the world around her. If you want to see this girl in action, head south of Winnipeg to our Saint Norbert office where Isabella will be holding negativity prisoner with smarts and shining optimism.

Rumoured to have single-handedly saved an entire village from being taken over by villains, there’s nothing Jan Jolicoeur can’t handle. She’s the savvy Director of First Impressions at Talbot’s head office and we’re not quite sure what we’d do without her. Quick with a “pump-you-up” fun contests or jokes, in her spare time, this lightening rod is also a marriage commissionaire, studies sign language and always stays up-to-speed on what’s happening in the world. Her passions include music (from Beethoven to Classic Rock) and being with her daughters and husband.
Janine believes that every day is an opportunity to do better, to grow and learn, to hope and to help others. Detail-oriented, she is passionate about everything she does and can even be restless if something is wrong with a situation, if the house is messy or, if something is missing – even if it’s small. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy, QuickBooks Advanced Certified ProAdvisor, 16+ years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping including 5 years in auditing, she is more than equipped to help her clients. Supporting and serving at Truth and Life Worship Centre, she and her husband aim to live in grace and give glory to God in everything they are called to do.
Easily the man with the biggest smile in our St. Boniface office, Jayson joined T&A in 2014 after graduating Robertson College with an accounting diploma. He enjoys traveling and extreme sports such as sky diving, scuba diving, water rafting, mountain climbing, bungee jumping and paragliding (next on the list, F1 driving experience in Dubai). Jayson admires his sister for her hard work ethic, ambition and passion to see her children succeed.

Jean-Guy believes that happiness is a choice you make every morning. He inspires those around him by living these types of insights, and clients and colleagues across North America consider him a friend and a mentor. Born and raised on a mixed farm, Jean-Guy learned at a very young age to feed the chickens, milk cows, clean the pigpen by hand and to NEVER stand behind a coughing cow. Starting his accounting career in 1983, he worked in public practice for several years before founding Talbot and Associates on a part time basis in 1987. Growing the practice from a one-person operation in his basement to over 70 staff in 8 locations across Manitoba, he has devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy to research the secrets of operating a better practice. He is now mentoring other accountants & bookkeepers on the path of success. In 2016 Jean-Guy was formally recognized by his peers for having rendered exceptional services to the profession career achievements and received the title of fellow CPA (FCPA).

The Spreadsheet Queen, Jen loves to create budgets for everything. No wonder she is the treasurer of Teulon Daycare Inc. and a board member of the Balmoral Childcare Centre! Her passion doesn’t stop there, Jen’s dream is to one day own a camp for kids. Talbot & Associates is lucky to have someone like her on our team. Originally from a film studies background, Jen worked on television and movie sets in Winnipeg for a year and a half before deciding it wasn’t for her. She then began the CGA program in June of 2010 and started working with EPR Stonewall in 2011. Following the acquisition, she’s happy to be a part of a company that truly values its clients and community. When not working, you can find Jen laughing and having conversations with her husband and kids or riding her mini-bike around the trails behind their house.
If you look up, “one cool customer” in the dictionary, you’ll see Jocelyne’s photo right beside it. This lady is the full package- sharing her ease, smarts and laughter with the T&A team for over 10 years. Jocelyne received a diploma in Business Administration from the Université de Saint-Boniface in 1997. Prior to Talbot, she obtained close to 10 years of public and private accounting experience. Out of the office, you can find her rink-side cheering on her daughters in ringette, enjoying golf, speeding on trails a la ATV or laughing up a storm near a bonfire with friends.

Most appreciated for being a fantastic accountant, team member and mom, Joelle goes over and beyond in all she does with an infectious enthusiasm that draws people in. Joelle began her accounting career with Talbot in 1996. She shares her expertise and genuine care with staff and clients, being most fulfilled when she’s helping people understand their financials to make better life decisions for long-term success. In the future, Joelle aims to be more involved with organizations that dedicate efforts to help children with life-threatening illnesses. She is mainly influenced by her Mom, who carries out life with strength, a devoted heart and by keeping family connections alive. Off hours, you’ll find Joelle creating new memories while camping or taking in Festival Du Voyager with her three precious kids and hilarious husband.
Eager to learn new things, Josef is a strong logical person who enjoys helping clients to understand their very individualized tax situation. When Josef is not preparing tax returns for people with all forms of income, he loves spend time with his family, camping and hiking.
There is such a thing as being able to achieve over 100% on a mathematics score and we can prove it – because that’s just one of the boundless traits Joshua Block (Josh) brings to the T&A table. After obtaining his BA in Criminology, Josh now aims to achieve his CPA designation. At work, he applies his time to making T&A a better place with his positive, can-do attitude, willingness to assist team members and all around humorous nature. After hours, interests include hockey (he’s the biggest Sidney Crosby fan ever), eccentric television series (like Veronica Mars, which he assisted in the launch of a digital funding platform for continued production) and Pokémon Go (of which Josh claims the fever has not died). Josh most enjoys spending time with friends/family and the collaborate work he does with co-workers and clients.
For board game enthusiast Joshua, life is full of puzzles that need solving. Accounting is no exception where nothing feels better to him than taking a messy numbers situation and bringing order and structure to it. Born near Vancouver, Josh grew up in rural Saskatchewan before moving back to Vancouver. Then he moved to Manitoba. It seems he still can’t make up his mind if he likes our cold, prairie winters! Having completed his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Briercrest College in Saskatchewan, he has now set his sights on his next goal: completing his CPA designation. In his free time, he enjoys outdoorsy activities and has promised his wife to settle her on a small acreage with a horse someday. He most admires his grandparents for the way they so deeply invested their time into the lives of those around them.

One of those moments was when one Julien Grenier landed on the firm’s doorstep in 2008. He essentially was (and is) the poster child for the firm’s creed. Passionate about getting the most out of life and helping others do the same, Julien is determined to see T&A become a nationwide firm. Whether its playing softball or volleyball, or sailing Gore Bay in Ontario with his wife and dogs, Julien is the outdoorsman’s outdoorsman – always seeking the next opportunity to head out to the cabin to breathe in fresh air, perspective and possibility.

Two things that you can bet money on when it comes to Justin Chaput is: (1) out of any person in any room, he’ll be wearing the most interesting socks and (2) the genius perspective he brings to his work. Justin started with T&A as a junior accountant in 2001 and became a partner in 2013. He’s known for creating game-changing opportunities for clients, making the Ag Team the best it can be and mentoring team mates (except the ones who give him a hard time for being an enthusiastic Toronto Maple Leafs fan – Justin doesn’t even make eye contact with those people). Justin is thankful every day to work in a job he loves – an important belief instilled in him by his parents. His dream is to be a great father to his son, Félix, and a supportive husband to his partner, Mel; cheering them both on through life – adopting their goals as his own.
Kalyn loves helping people and providing clients with the most value she can. Conscientious and diligent, Kalyn loves helping her clients with their bookkeeping and payroll but what is what she particularly enjoys is to train them. Once her clients understand the software better and see the value in the information Kalyn provides them, that’s when her satisfaction is at its maximum.
Warm and welcoming, Karen greets and assists clients when they come with their financial needs. Because she needs to be a serious mum at home, when at the office you can hear her singing great radio songs or making sure clients and even coworkers leave this office with a smile on their face.
Katrina believes continuing to learn, challenge her current mindset, and seek out wisdom from those around her is all part of our lifelong growth. Having completed her QuickBooks Online and Desktop Certification, you can find her hard at work in her current field of focus. At the age of 3, she took her first ballet class and discovered her passion, going on to study full time at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Professional Division at the age of 12. Part of a small group of 10 girls from around the world, she trained in classical Russian Technique and learned discipline, strong work ethic, and a deep love and respect for the art form. Today, you can find her hiking, puzzling, brushing up on her calligraphy skills, or in the kitchen with a glass of red wine trying a new recipe with her beloved cat Pippa.
Some people say Katie Gunther looks like Molly Ringwald (in her 80’s prime), we say she was one of the best things that’s ever happened to T&A. Her love of life, determination and eagerness to learn has benefitted the firm and clients extremely well. Katie joined the Ashern office in August 2015, bringing with her over eight years experience in professional bookkeeping. Currently, she is working towards her Accounting Certificate through Athabasca University. Happiest in the outdoors, you can find her hiking, camping, helping on her parents’ cattle farm, running with her husband Curtis or building snow forts with her three sons Logan, Warrick and Gerard. Katie is a co-ordinator for the Steep Rock Swim Program as well as volunteers at many community events and teaches Sunday School at Peace Lutheran Church.

Thoughtful as a Hallmark Card with the work ethic of a Saint, he’s the guy who dresses so well you wonder where he’s off to later. Kevin has been an influential part of T&A since 2013. He brings with him over a decade of career and educational experience including an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University and a CPA, CGA designation. Beyond number crunching and helping teammates stay on track, Kevin enjoys snowboarding, hockey and taking in of-the-beaten-path films. He considers it his greatest privilege to help others succeed, an act he carries out often at Talbot & Associates with clients and co-workers alike.
Fluent in three languages able to understand many dialects, Khushwant is one smart cookie. He’s passionate about giving back to the community and being a part of something bigger than himself, volunteering his free time at the Ashern Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter. A graduate of Red River College, Winnipeg, he holds his certificate in Applied Accounting. When he’s not fighting fires and saving the day in your taxes and accounting, he can be found chasing exhilaration in target-shooting and horseback riding. One day, Khushwant dreams of having his own hunting cabin.
Passionate about music, Kiera believes there is so much it brings to the world and to us as individuals. Born to musical parents, she has had a keen interest in singing and playing the piano since the age of 4 and even wrote a song titled "Adieu to Sweet Churchtown" based on a poem her Great-great-great grandfather wrote when he immigrated to Canada from Ireland. Graduating with Honours in Applied Accounting from Red River, she also holds a Diploma of Performing Arts from the Canadian College of Performing Arts and a Diploma in Music from Camosun College. There’s a reason Kyla Murray is known as T&A’s resident bloodhound. If she’s not sniffing out a solution with military precision, you’ll find her wowing clients with the latest accounting ace up her sleeve. Kyla is an integral member of T&A’s Ag Team and provides exceptional training, support and care for her teammates and clients of the firm. She is currently enrolled in the CPA program after obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University. She grew up in rural southeastern Manitoba and enjoys golfing, fishing, water skiing, playing softball and hiking. When she’s not enjoying the great outdoors, you’ll find her defeating challenges like most recently running trail races in the Rockies and winning 2nd at the Festival Du Voyageur Games.

Kyra was a welcome addition to the T&A team in 2016. Most know her as the Director of First Impressions at the Birtle office, but insiders refer to her as the “glue” who keeps it all together. Kyra has personally invested herself in helping others and guaranteeing satisfaction with her contagious smile and unique sense of humor. She loves hockey, spending time with her family and hopes one day to see the world.
LaurelSajtos, CPA, CGA
If you were to ask Laurel what accounting and horse riding have in common, she would probably answer that it's all about seeing the true potential. That’s why when Laurel isn’t riding horses, she is helping clients to reach their business goals.
Lindsay has been a solid member of T&A’s Birtle office since opening in 2016. She brought with her a devoted sense of purpose, commitment to problem solving and concentrated education in accounting and business. The same devotion she has in helping T&A clients succeed is also evident in her advocacy of reducing waste and ensuring children obtain a good education. Lindsay greatly admires her daughter Samantha who has set goals and persevered, and hopes for the day when she can travel the world and immerse herself in its wonders (in more peaceful times). Her dream day would consist of taking in a Jets Game with family after a day of invigorating work on flower beds.
An avid cook, Lisa knows good plates require precision and effort- and the same goes for bookkeeping! She believes living life to the fullest is all about working hard for what you want while remaining kind and loving to others along the way, which is why she always works hard to help clients and team members. When she isn’t working, you can find Lisa gardening, cooking, baking or tending to her dogs, cats, cattle, pigs, roosters, ducks, and laying hens.

She loves the complexity of preparing year-ends and loves finding loopholes that will help save client's some money, that’s why she is part of our AG team and helps prepare corporate year-ends for both farm and non-farm companies.
MartineDubé CPA, CGA
If candour was an Olympic sport, this lady would take gold (every time!). But don’t be fooled, although Martine Dubé possesses a humor dry as the desert – she’s all heart. Martine brings with her accounting smarts, attention to detail and a warm mentorship style which has been a strong asset to the T&A team since 2011. She earned her CPA, CGA designation in 2015. Martine most admires her siblings who shape her world with their fresh perspectives. In her spare time, she appreciates road trips, watching movies, reading ghostly novels, rollerblading and the occasional snowboarding trip. Martine’s dream experience would be to visit Scotland to take in historical castles while listening to George Michael’s greatest hits on repeat.
If one were to give directions how to get to the town of Matt Hofer, they’d tell you to go down Sincerity Road, hang a left at Wit Junction, jump on the train at Imagination Station, then go a block up to Affable Avenue until you find yourself at Grateful Gate. Matt has been a part of the T&A family since 2012. He brought with him an incredible work ethic and a B.A. (Hons.) with a major in Political Studies. He earned his CPA designation in 2021. Matt can usually be found coming up with ways to help his family or clients achieve their dreams. He strongly believes in putting his family first and is appreciative for all the ways he is blessed in this life. For fun, Matt enjoys playing all types of table-top games, especially role-playing games, with friends and family.
Director of First Impressions (Ashern)
Since Montana Jones started as Director of First Impressions with T&A’s Ashern office, we’ve had the problem of finding a room big enough to contain her fun-loving charm. She brought with her a certificate in Business Administration and a healthy appetite for adventure. When she’s not taking care of her team and clients, you’ll find Montana camping, driving in the mud with her Dad’s 4 X 4 or striking up conversations with anyone and everyone. Montana hopes to contribute to the future growth and flourishment of her community. She admires her Mom and sister for their determination in reaching their personal goals.
Morgan may be short, but she has a huge heart. After graduating from Red River College in 2019 from Business Administration with a Marketing major, her first two jobs were at a pharmacy and a Clinic. She then decided to go a step further to take care of your health and wealth making sure you don’t pay more tax than you should. Outside of the office, you can find Morgan supporting Breast Cancer and Ovarian Cancer Awareness or travelling and exploring new things to create memories.
Watching Natalie Dumont in action is like taking in a one-woman Cirque Du Soleil show. This firecracker can do anything and does it with style, wowing staff and clients with her precise attention to detail and project management skills. Natalie started her career working as a Health Care Aide. After working at the University of Manitoba, she came to T&A in 2015. Her passion is to help people grow, which is evident in all she does, especially how she pours into the lives of her husband and kids. Natalie is a miner for original music and enjoys board games and exploring new territories on foot. Natalie hopes to travel Canada coast-to-coast one day (but if she plans to do this by foot we’re not letting her go as to not put the firm at risk being without her that long). Fun Fact: Natalie once had a pet bear cub named Trapper.
Don’t ask her what she thinks if you really don’t want to know. Her genuine nature is just one of the things we love about this girl. Nathalie is Steinbach’s pro bookkeeper, bringing over a decade of experience in the financial industry including experience as a business owner-operator. Off-hours, Nathalie enjoys gardening, canning vegetables, and spending time with her family. When her head isn’t crunching numbers its thinking about her next travelling destination (next stop, the Caribbean). Fun fact: Nathalie can touch her nose with her tongue (a very useful skill).
She’s both a welcome kind of mysterious and a perfect storm of diligent creativity. Just a few characteristics that make up one of T&A’s hardest-working members on the bookkeeping and tax preparation teams. Olga comes from a diverse career background, including professions in graphic design and event décor. Shortly before joining T&A, she changed gears and acquired an Applied Accounting certificate form Red River College. One of Olga’s strengths is assisting clients with challenges they face in balancing the books. Her passions include painting landscapes, replenishing in nature and caring for animals.
If James Dean, G.I. Joe and Tony Robbins were in a band, they’d be called Patrick Pantel. He says he’s from a different time – we say he needs his own show. Patrick began his career in the mechanical field for nine years, before changing gears (pun intended) and switching paths. After completing his CGA studies, he found his calling in the number crunching world. Guaranteed to come at it differently than anyone else in the room, Patrick’s unique perspective, matched with his great ability to problem solve makes him a solid asset to the firm where he contributes to the year-end and personal tax filing preparation teams. When he’s not getting down to business, you’ll find Patrick peeling away on his Suzuki 250 off to the barracks, being part of the Canadian Armed Forces. Patrick enjoys hanging out with co-workers, helping clients, snowboarding and hot rods. We expect someday to read about Patrick conquering some amazing feat as we collectively scream that we once knew him.

Suspicious in the best kind of way, Paul Dorey takes face value hostage every chance he gets. A miner for challenge and opportunities to learn, he’s T&A’s onsite problem-solving guru and we love him for it. An integral part of both the Audit and U.S. Tax Services Teams, Paul believes that you’ve done your job well as an accountant if you can convert complex issues into conversational language for clients. Off hours, you’ll find Paul swimming, jogging, weight-training, biking, reading and spending quality time with friends and family. He is taken with both his fiancée and Trinidad, the land she hails from. He hopes to one day open a T&A satellite office there to live out his dreams of becoming the greatest ocean-side accountant in the world.
This jack-of-all-trades has more nick names than Canada has bodies of water. Call our St. Boniface office and ask to speak to any of these people to reach Pierre Normandeau: “Pete”, “Best Dad Ever”, “#1 Boston Bruins Fan”, “Willing Husband”, “Devoted Friend” or “Lipsync Master”. Pierre joined T&A in 2002. Clients and colleagues alike appreciate his patience, quick wit, caring attitude and winning ability to crank out accounting greatness. Pierre graduated from École Technique et Professional (University St. Boniface) in 2002. After obtaining his CGA designation, he became one of T&A’s partners, then also, St. Boniface Manager. His passion for connecting with people is evident. Being able to provide them with positive life-impacting solutions are the moments where he feels most rewarded at the firm. For fun, Pierre enjoys participating in whatever adventure his charming wife conjures up for the family. His future dreams include pouring into his kids so they can achieve their dreams and to one day whisk his wife away to the South of France on a moment’s notice.
Passionate about environmental stewardship, Rebecca thrives on empowering people and serving her community. She lives life with the personal mantra that strength lies in differences, not similarities, and believes in taking the time to enjoy the beauty all around us. Graduating in 2018 from Providence University College, she holds a degree in BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration). Rebecca’s two greatest loves are culinary adventures and nature. When she’s not enjoying music or cooking, she can be found hiking or just immersing herself in nature and exploring new places. Rebecca’s personal mantra is "Is there anything more perfect than a consistently imperfect unfolding of nature."

In early 2018, a gift from France fell on our laps. It was one of innovation, artistic flare and good natured, “get it done” attitude. That gift was Remy and we couldn’t be happier about it. In his short time with the firm, he’s wowed the team and clients with his branding brilliance and fresh strategic perspectives, which he learned in various positions during over 15 years experience at advertising firm Publicis Worldwide, based in Paris. Remy sees things as they could be – not how they are (or have been done in the past!). He looks forward to sharing all he’s learned to help bring T&A and its’ clients into their next stage of growth and success. When Remy’s not conjuring up his latest strategic idea (or making a co-worker laugh with his hilarious observations), you can find him working on his YouTube channel, nurturing carnivorous plants, cooking up a storm or out and about discovering Manitoba’s great outdoors with his beautiful wife and precious daughter.
Rich often wonders why people stare at him like he has eight heads. It could be (a) his wild stories about what he blew up in his garage microwave, (b) the rapid speed in which fires back email responses or (c) that they are literally staring at all the hats he wears at the firm. Rich has been a significant part of the T&A family since 2011. He’s held positions as the IT Manager and supports the Ag Team and overall tax file preparation. He is a quick study and is constantly striving to improve himself in some way each day. In his downtime he enjoys wood working, a good book or head banging to Abba.
RosannaSternat, CPA, CGA
With over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, including 17 years as the sole practitioner in a full-service public accounting office, Rosanna has a special connection with her clients. She loves helping them to start, grow, and succeed in their business. Rosanna enjoys all aspects of accounting, including bookkeeping, tax planning, year-end file work, and assurance engagements. When she isn’t at the office, Rosanna loves the lake life: fishing, boating, and “bonfiring”.
A keen learner and time management oriented, Sadia is a great new addition to the bookkeeping team. She puts as much dedication into her professional life as her personal life, her passion being working with a small charity group for the underprivileged. When she is not working, Sadia enjoys baking.
Whether it’s on the beach or at a bonfire, you’ll find Samantha soaking up life to the fullest. A long-time volunteer for the Woodlands Wildlife Federation and part of a hockey team for nearly a decade and a half, she believes in giving back to the community. A graduate of the Asper School of Business, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) with a major in accounting. Having already completed all of her CPA prerequisites, she plans to pursue the CPA program after gaining more work experience. Passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, Samantha dreams of spending her winters somewhere hot and having a big property where rescue dogs can play on one day. The people she most admires in life are her parents and their dedicated work ethic and infallible ability to always make things work out.

She hasn’t told us exactly how she’s related to Mother Teresa – but it’s obvious as she’s so motivated by helping others and could accomplish anything she sets her mind to. After gaining her certificate in Applied Accounting, she joined the T&A team in 2016 and quickly went on to lead the star Bookkeeping Team. She completed her Payroll Compliance Practitioner’s Designation in 2020. Over the last 5 years, she’s made the lives of over 300 clients easier by handling their payroll and payroll related tasks. Outside of T&A time, Sasha considers it a privilege to serve at church. She enjoys romantic films, baking, sports, biking, camping and is a proud mom to her pup, Tika.
Previously with EPR for 6 years, Sheri holds a business degree from Red River College and has been working at Adesa Auctions for the past 22 years. Family is a large part of her life and the reason she wakes up every morning. Sheri has two beautiful daughters who are both in university and play sports. As a proud mother, she rarely misses their games. She also has a wonderful husband whom she loves and a “fur baby” named Bella. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, sitting around the campfire with her family and friends, and travelling. Sheri is also a Winnipeg Jets and Blue Bombers devoted fan. As a change of pace from her sport-filled lifestyle, Sheri joined the committee for the JDFR Starry Starry Night Gala, a fundraising event in support of finding a cure for type one diabetes. This is an issue close to her heart, as her oldest daughter has type one diabetes.
Soren wakes up each morning with the idea that each day is a gift and a new challenge, knowing that the challenging days make the good days that much sweeter. Passionate about seeing people improve and achieve excellence, his personal mantra is to be ‘always improving.’ In his history of officiating over 450 games in three sports, he has never raised his voice toward a player, coach, or fellow official and is proud to be discovering the fine line between calm and assertive. He plans to graduate from CMU with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a major in accounting, in early 2022. For over half a decade, he has been involved with True North Helping Hands, an organization that builds and maintains school buildings for the indigenous children of Baja California, Mexico. Over the four trips he’s taken to Mexico to help with builds, he’s made friends from across Canada and the U.S., learned to appreciate an afternoon siesta, and even learned to speak some “playground Spanish”. In July of 2019, he was an on-field official at the U18 Flag Football National Championship and worked 23 games over three days, including both the men’s and women’s finals, and cites the experience as one he will cherish.
Motivated and caring, Stephan uses his will and tenacity to challenge himself but also to help his clients. His desire to make a positive impact as often as he can also translates into his job where he gives it his all to find solutions to your problems. He is in the process of obtaining his CPA designation and when he isn't working or studying, you can find him looking for his next 800km hiking trail.

Tammy brings over 20 years of accounting experience to her role. She is passionate about helping others and developing strong relationships. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Tammy often volunteers for a variety of community projects like donating food to her church or work with the ag society. Her happy place is with her family who she aims to spend as much time as possible.
She’s taken with life and you – that’s exactly how you feel when you hang out with this special lady. When she’s not serving clients with her A-caliber smarts and stealthy problem-solving skills, you’ll find this songbird knocking audiences out with her beautiful voice, hosting BBQ/bonfires and satisfying her insatiable curiosity for well, everything. Tiffany came to T&A in 2016 with much field-related experience under her belt. Based in the Steinbach office, she is a support to several departments at the firm including the Ag team, year-ends and more. Learning client’s stories and being a part of their life through a financial perspective is what Tiffany feels most passionate about in her work. She deeply appreciates those who make the most out of life.
Born in Germany, Timo moved to Canada when he was 13, bringing with him his kind heart and unshakeable faith. He is passionate about helping people and volunteers at his church as a high school youth leader. Timo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and is currently enrolled as a CPA Prep student, well on his way to accomplishing his dream of becoming a CPA one day. When he’s not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family. Some of their favorite activities include Duplo building adventures and bike rides complete with their little one in the bike trailer.
Dedicated to whatever he puts his mind to, Tyler is a self-starter who begins each 7 am morning with toast and Nutella. While he enjoys watching a great deal of sports, his personal favorite being hockey, he does believe soccer is ‘criminally underrated’ and particularly enjoys the lack of commercials and the great fan culture around the sport. Between attending the University of Manitoba and previous summer retail jobs, he focused his professional studies in Economics. His personal studies turned toward teaching himself Japanese and his biggest regret is not speaking the language nearly enough. He cites the process of learning like ‘reading a book on how to build a log cabin from the ground up before ever picking up a hammer’. In his free time, he enjoys watching YouTube and playing video games on PC and Nintendo. A fan of the Mega Man Battle Network games on GBA, he enjoys all sorts of games depending on his mood. One day he wants to go on vacation to another country that doesn’t primarily speak English, with his top pick being a vacation to Japan. He most admires his mom for being one of the hardest working people he knows.

Valérie is the real-life version of a viral video. You can’t stop watching her and you want to introduce her to all your friends. From hilarious stories about insane incidents to her sharp-as-a-tact work ethic – she’s a catch for any organization (and we caught her – point us!). Valérie is T&A’s HR/Executive Assistant who’s been with T&A since 2006. She obtained her Office Management diploma at the Université de Saint-Boniface in 2007 and has kept T&A spinning ever since. Often the first one in and the last out, this girl is most marked by her tremendous generosity and kind heart. In her free time, Valérie loves to bake and is a passionate volunteer. She enjoys any type of physical activity – whether its Zumba or playing volleyball. She lives life with a spirit of gratitude and credits her parents who sacrificed to give her and her siblings the life she so deeply appreciates now.
